Every single day many rural dwellers do leave the comfort of their home towns in high hopes for cities in search of white or blue collar jobs, better infrastructural amenities and more fulfilling life experiences etc. But, the question is - do the majority of us get these from the cities nowadays? No! Because no enough jobs to employ the teeming cities population explosion; no constant power supply; no adequate housing; no portable water for some; high cost of living; incessant traffic hold-up and rampant insecurity etc. so the truth for some of us who continue to live in cities against all odds is either we do not want to live our entire lives in our own towns or we are too ashamed to be considered a failure in relocating back to our home towns from cities with nothing to show. Which is by a great extent no fault of ours for having endlessly looked for jobs in cities without finding any. The solution is this - let's us form a resettlement near any remote village or at any safe uninhibited location within Nigeria. If you consider the suggestion a bit obsolete in 21st century, for a group of people to settle the host community and just walk into a thick forest, cut down some trees, build houses and form a resettlement, just like our great grand fathers did many centuries ago? Then do not forget that the modern life we all seek out for in our cities can now be lived in any remote village in 21st century. We can now access banking services at any time and anywhere using ATM, POS, Internet banking, mobile money transfers etc. In fact we can easily make withdrawal or deposit at any POS outlet anywhere. Also we can generate electric power anywhere through solar energy. More so, with GSM invention, we can talk with people from any location at any time. Also remember we can sink bole hole in our new resettlement. More importantly we can build schools for our children to attend in the new resettlement. Why don't us for good leave overcrowding, traffic hold-ups and boisterous cities life behind; let's move closer to nature and have a feel of fresh air, natural foods and serene environment. Let's form a group to establish a farm or industrial resettlement.
